This wedding at Utah Ski Resort Alta Lodge was very personal and family-focused. Jun and Yuxuan’s family gathered from all over for this special occasion. When the couple searched for a venue, they sought a location with beautiful mountain views. Showcasing as much as they can of what Utah has to offer. This was a way of sharing a piece of their home with their family members. The Utah ski resort Alta Lodge provided this and so much more.
The wedding was entirely in their native language which even the times I felt a little lost, I found to be so beautiful. Starting with the ceremony, there were non-traditional elements. I could see they really focused on honoring their heritage.
Following was the bride’s outfit change into her traditional Chinese wedding dress. A unique red two-piece with extraordinary beaded details. The couple’s portraits with this outfit change might have to be some of my favorites from this day.
This was definitely one of those weddings where the number one thing that was prioritized was loved ones, close friends, and dear family members. There was no worrying about tablescape setup or detailed signage. Just good food, some music, and a lot of love to go around. Truly an intimate experience I was honored to be a part of and excited to share with you all.
