Megan is passionate about experiencing life through the eyes of others. She honed her art through travel and the time spent seeking to understand the connection between people and the places they call home. By documenting her personal life and knowing the value of these images, she is able to bring that honesty and storytelling to her clients' special events.
"She took my engagements and wedding photos and absolutely killed it. She has such an artistic eye and articulates each capture beautifully. She made sure my vision was achieved and made the process exciting! Megan makes taking photos feel so natural and candid and you can feel the emotion in every shot. She went out of her way to make recommendations for vendors and venues and even traveled to my destination wedding.
I’m in love with my timeless wedding photos and will forever cherish my experience taking them!!!"
Growing up in Idaho was as special as anyone who grew up in Idaho knows. I'm proud to claim it. My father was raised there and I love that my brothers and I can say that Idaho raised us, too. My mother was born and raised in Guatemala and fate brought her to a small town in Idaho where she met my dad and they quickly started their life together.
The older I got, the more I yearned to know about Guatemala, to meet my family there and to learn more about my amazing mother. It was a feeling I couldn't place, feeling connected to a country I'd never been to. As fate would continue to have it, one day I received an email from my college before my first semester even started about a volunteer opportunity in Guatemala.
Since that life-changing email that ultimately motivated me to move there for several months, I've been fortunate to have lived in different areas throughout the country many times over the past 16 years, each time volunteering with the same foundation .
I believe that we are meant to take care of each other and there is nothing that brings me more joy than taking care of my culture and roots in Guatemala. If you are ever looking for a way to pay it forward, I'd suggest supporting the following organizations that I work with regulary and know personally.
