We’re so excited to share this modern-meets-old-world wedding in the charming town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. This stunning day was brought together by the talented Braelynn Tuitupou of Belle Bodas Events. Our couple Ofelia and Michael wove in elements of their relationship as well as both of their cultures to create an unforgettable experience for their guests who traveled to be with them on this special day.

When we asked the bride and groom what some of their favorite moments were, they both agreed that the musical elements of their day were near and dear to both of them. Michael is a classically trained musician and songwriter, so for his wedding gift, Ofelia hired a saxophonist to play during cocktail hour and he was blown away. Guests agreed it was one of their favorite parts of the wedding. Michael then surprised Ofelia with a song he spent months working on that he wrote for their first dance as husband and wife.

Guest experience was super important to both of them since they were so grateful that everyone traveled to Mexico to be with them. So they wrote every single guest a personalized letter that included a special memory the couple shared with them. Honoring both of their cultures was also important to Ofelia and Michael and they incorporated both Mexican and French wedding traditions throughout the day from the mariachi band to a French champagne tower. They said that all the details coming together felt like the perfect way to honor and blend these two cultures that had such distinct differences but one very prevalent thing in common- the value and importance of family.
