For their summer mountain wedding, Katelyn and Andy gave this theme a modern update while embracing its timeless style. The pastel color palette, opulent lush florals, and romantic mountain setting made it feel like you were stepping into a dream. But what I love about this trend is how versatile it is. Neutral or pops of color, vintage or modern aesthetic, indoor or outdoor venues- there are so many opportunities to take this beautiful theme and make it your own. While Katelyn and Andy took a more classic approach to their garden party affair, there are so many ways to incorporate garden inspired elements throughout your day. Of course the star of the show is your floral design. For this Montage Deer Valley wedding, Artisan Bloom transformed the ballroom reception into a secret garden dripping with summer blooms. Towering trees on either side of the sweetheart table created a canopy of pastel florals that complimented the luxurious centerpieces. Romantic wedding signs, ethereal floral invitations and the bride’s delicate accessories are just some of the ways this theme was intertwined in all the little details of the day.

Other garden party wedding decor ideas I love? Utilizing string lights throughout your venue to create an ethereal and romantic feel. Mismatched floral bridesmaids dresses for a vintage vibe. At your reception, make your guests feel like they’re in a garden oasis by creating lounge areas with umbrellas and serving botanical cocktails. Even your menu can play a part with farm-to-table dishes or an array of pastel sweets on your dessert table.

Katelyn and Andy chose muted pastels for their color palette with shades of pale blue and dusty lavender complimented by pops of blush pink and buttery yellow. Finding inspiration in floral prints is a great way to help curate your color palette while staying on theme. You also can’t go wrong with shades of green to give that lush garden feel. Clearly Montage Deer Valley is a beautiful choice for a classic garden party wedding. The sweeping views of the lush green mountains serve as an unforgettable ceremony spot. For your reception, the elegant ballroom spaces are a blank canvas you can transform into a romantic indoor garden. They also have multiple outdoor spaces including the Grand Lawn and Vista Terrace that have built-in garden party vibes. Another Utah venue I love for the garden party wedding aesthetic is River Bottom Ranch in Midway. The modern farmhouse style venue with sleek black and white accents looks stunning filled with bright and colorful spring flowers. This is another example of a venue that is a blank slate to make your own and has tons of green outdoor space.

Thinking a vintage garden party is more your style? Then you’ll definitely want to check out Wadley Farms in Lindon. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a quaint European town at this venue with its historic castles and acres of gardens and orchards. The antique fountains, outdoor string lights, and moss covered buildings will help you achieve that garden party aesthetic without having to do much.
