I know what you’re thinking, where is Springville, Utah anyway? Why have an estate wedding here? Springville is about a 50-minute drive south of Salt Lake City in the northern part of Utah. Even though it’s not as popular of a location, it is still an absolutely stunning one. It was our chosen destination for this romantic and vibrant editorial. I worked alongside talented vendors like Michelle Leo Events to create an exclusive shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride.
Our estate wedding editorial took place at the Hobble Creek Estate in Hobble Creek Canyon. A venue tucked in the valley with pristine green lawns and gardens surrounding the grounds. The location itself gives a rustic feel to any charming estate wedding with its dark wood and stone craftsmanship. If you are looking for a mountain wedding venue, this scenic area will blow you away. Springville, Utah is nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Range of The Rocky Mountains giving you 360 views of the surrounding mountains and a perfect location for your dream mountain wedding.
Michelle Leo had a vision of bold colors and elegant decor. In wanting to add a softer touch to the venue, her team chose a combination of pastel and vibrant tones to play off of the changing seasons. A color palette of muted yellows, blues, corals, and lavender brightened up the space against the dark woods and rich fall colors. The ceremony set up was also something to swoon after. Two pillars covered in florals and greens marked the backdrop to where the couple would say their wedding nuptials, harmonizing the changing leaves in the background flawlessly.
The bride’s elegant gown with a chiffon layered skirt added the right amount of luxury to her detailed floral bodice. We of course can’t forget to highlight the groom himself. He wore a deep green suit with a white shirt and cream tie that matched his pocket square beautifully. His look not only complimented the bride’s knock-out dress but tied in the wedding decor seamlessly.
The reception set-up put the cherry on top of this charming mountain wedding. As a base, we have long dark wood tables and traditional-styled chairs. A single piece of cream chiffon fabric is laid down the middle of the table and draped over to the ground. To add more details, assorted florals speckled the center. Rose gold dinnerware with handwritten placeholders and cream napkins adorned the tablescape. The continuity of this chic rustic mountain wedding carried over into the food, desserts, and drinks. We can not get over the pies and tarts, they were almost too beautiful to eat…almost! The pair ended the night by riding away in an old-fashioned Tiffany-blue station wagon. Every part of this estate wedding styled shoot played together effortlessly. Truly making it a memory we know any future couples won’t forget.
