Envision the perfect fall wedding- mountains frame the background, the leaves are a bright golden yellow, there’s a slight chill in the air. Jewel toned wedding decor fills the bright and airy venue and loved ones mingle in the cozy space. Vanessa and Hunter’s 4U Ranch wedding in Utah embodied all of those things and then some. There are almost too many special and thoughtful details to cover from this incredible day. In this blog, we’ll cover our brides and groom’s stylish fall wedding day looks along with the details of this beautiful venue, 4U Ranch. Vanessa and Hunter’s wedding day looks embodied both their personal style as well as the style of their event, decor and venue. But neither of their looks were the ones they originally intended to wear when planning their wedding in 2020. Due to COVID delays, they had to change their plans and pick new wedding day attire. Luckily, their choices ended up being the perfect fit for their big day. Vanessa wore an off-the-shoulder lace mermaid gown by Galia Lahav. In her words, “it was everything opposite of what I thought I wanted, but the dress fit like a glove, and the experience was easy”. Proof that you know when it’s the right one. For the groom, Hunter chose a burgundy tux jacket, the picture of fall groom suit chic.
For some fun details, the groom wore his grandfather’s gold watch. He also donned a gold chain bracelet made from his grandmother’s necklace- a gift given by his bride for the wedding. For Vanessa, a special touch was rocking her natural hair since it’s her signature look. The inspiration for her wedding day look? “Looking like myself, but a tad more chic”. As you can see yourself, all these details came together to create a gorgeous wedding day look.
From this stunning wedding day, it’s easy to see why 4U Ranch was the perfect choice for their fall wedding venue. The chic and minimal white barn with black accents allows couples to truly make the space their own. The best part? The stunning outdoor spaces with sweeping mountain views. While it’s gorgeous at any time of the year, Vanessa and Hunter’s 4U Ranch wedding shows why fall is such a special time at this venue. In early October, the leaves turn a vibrant shade of yellow and the weather is comfortable. While the venue itself has a farmhouse feel, the modern updates and clean aesthetic makes it the perfect backdrop for any wedding theme or style.

Traditional fall wedding colors are always beautiful, but I love to see a couple step outside of the box and choose something different. For their fall wedding color palette, Vanessa and Hunter chose modern shades of muted burgundy, golden yellow, and rustic orange. Added hints of gold, deep blush, and greenery made for a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Not to mention the vibrant colors of nature helping as well.
Not only does the rich color palette add to the luxe look of this fall wedding, so do the textures. Metallic gold flatware, velvet cocktail table linens, florals adorned with branches of fall leaves, and light gray ghost chairs. Sleek candlesticks giving off glowing light, modern menus outlining fall inspired dishes, and sleek acrylic place cards adorned each guest table. I seriously cannot get over all the beautiful and thoughtful details these wedding vendors came together to create! It was truly a pleasure to capture their incredible work.
Vanessa and Hunter’s wedding escort card display had to be one of the most unique parts of any wedding I’ve seen. Lovers of hot sauce, the couple grew peppers in their garden in order to make homemade hot sauce for each guest to take home as their wedding favor. Not only that, the custom bottles listed their wedding date and a gold tag led guests to their seats.
Why the choice of hot sauce? In the words of the bride, “First, when we moved into our house together, Hunter had an insane amount of hot sauce bottles—like 40. Second, we have a fantastic garden. Gardening became a hobby we did together. I would plant and grow everything, and Hunter created magic in the kitchen with our harvest. Lastly, all the food for the evening was Southern-inspired, so we felt our guests needed a little hot sauce.”
