This week’s blog post is back with one of our favorite topics- bridal trends! This Utah Gown Guide featured in Rocky Mountain Bride showcased the bridal creations of talented local Utah designers. This shoot included gowns from Janay Marie Designs, Chantel Lauren Designs and Natalie Wynn Designs. Shot in Moab, Utah, the red rock canyon and vibrant sunset served as the backdrop for our shoot. Within this gorgeous desert landscape you’ll find Under Canvas Moab, a luxury glamping resort. In this post, we’ll talk more about this unique wedding venue, explore these dress designs, and as always, share the full gallery of these beautiful ladies below!
This look by Chantel Lauren Designs is the quintessential desert elopement bridal look. This gown featured all over boho lace, long sleeves and a flattering low back fit. But it’s the accessories that really bring this western aesthetic look to life. A trend we expect to see a lot more next year? Bridal hats! Talk about a statement. You can even switch up your look by adding fun accessories to your look for the reception. Our bride’s boho jewelry and turquoise pieces are a chic take on a western-inspired bridal look. Add a dried floral bouquet, some white bride booties, a venue like Under Canvas Moab, and you have a boho elopement dream.
One of the biggest bridal fashion trends coming out of Paris Fashion Week this year? Shades of blue! A soft blue wedding dress is a fresh take on the colorful wedding dress. Another selling point for this trend? It goes beautifully no matter what season you’re getting married. We love this look for a spring garden party wedding but it would be amazing for an icy winter wedding. Not only does she have a collection of gorgeous gowns, Janay Marie also offers custom bridal designs. See some of her incredible custom work along with her upcoming collection here! Not feeling blue for your bridal look? These would also make stunning bridesmaid dresses that would compliment any skin tone or body type beautifully.
Our other non-traditional dress featured in this shoot was the blush illusion gown designed by Natalie Wynn. Inspired by desert sunset hues, this dress is so versatile. We can see it working for a desert elopement or a Mediterranean inspired wedding. Natalie makes custom, made-to-fit bridal designs in her studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. We can’t say enough about this unique desert venue and resort. Minutes from Arches National Park, this resort gives you the ability to camp under the stars while enjoying luxurious amenities. Their canvas tents feature plush king size beds, luxurious linens, en suite bathrooms, fresh towels and wood burning stoves for chilly nights. This incredible place is also situated between two of the best hiking and climbing destinations in the world. It’s the perfect mix of adventurous and accommodating. If a glamping desert wedding is on your radar, they have a reception space with spectacular views and string lights so you and your guests can dine under the stars.
