This proposal session, which took place with Deer Valley Resort’s breathtaking views, was absolutely incredible. On February 23rd, 2019, Ali proposed to Sally surrounded by snow-covered mountains and a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
I was referred by the Concierge at Stein Eriksen Lodge, where Ali & Sally would be staying. It was an honor to be a part of the beautiful experience.
Ali and I coordinated the day based on his vision for the proposal moment. He decided a horse-drawn sleigh ride would add a special touch to their day. We booked the sleigh ride with Boulder Mountain Ranch, which is a must-try for anyone visiting Deer Valley. I made sure to contact them beforehand so that they were aware of our planned surprise.
I arrived before Ali and Sally’s scheduled ride. My “role” was a member of the company who took photos of guests enjoying the experience. During mid-ride, I asked if we could pull over to take a photo with the view – knowing that it was where Ali wanted us to set up. Sally didn’t see any of this coming which made this memorable moment so exciting! To sum up, she was very impressed with how much he coordinated with both the resort and myself.
Going into engagement season, I hope this Utah proposal session inspires any couple considering to pop the question.
Proposals happen so quickly and they’re often in a place that is special and sentimental. Why not have images that embody what that moment felt like to begin your next step into engagement? Having the professional photos to announce your engagement is an added bonus!
Why hire a photographer for your proposal? Here are my top 3 reasons:
