“Zach and I met when I was 11 and he was 13 at the school bus stop down the street from his parent’s house. My crush on him was instantaneous – his not so much. I became good friends with his sister who was also my age and over the years Zach and I spent a lot of time together through my friendship with her. We spent several summers together, I was always tagging along on family trips hoping he’d look at me as something more than just another little sister. This unrequited crush lasted nearly a decade while I dated other people and so did he. He went off to college in Tucson and over the years we saw each other less and less. The night before he graduated college, I was also down in Tucson and through a series of random events we ended up at the sa me place at the same time. Suddenly, things felt different between us and I knew my feelings were finally, after all this time, reciprocated. We started dating nearly the moment he moved home and have been inseparable since.

It felt only fitting to have our engagement shoot in the desert by the school bus stop where we first met. While we don’t live in Arizona anymore, our hearts are still deeply rooted there and will always remember the summers we spent together growing up in Carefree. We love spending time outdoors and a desert picnic scene put together by his very artistic mother was perfect.”
