One of my favorite memories to capture is that intimate moment when a loved one gets down on one knee. Bliss was in complete surprise when Griffin did just that.

The couple had a beautiful proposal at Stein Eriksen Lodge, Deer Valley.

This European lodge is located in Park City, Utah, and is rated part of Forbes Five-Star hotel and spa. When planning this proposal, Griffin had envisioned the snow-covered mountains as part of the scenery. The Flagstaff Mountain Deck is known for a picturesque view and also the perfect place for wedding ceremonies. We chose for the couple to walk along the deck and away from any people.

Even though Griffin seemed nervous, I made sure to prepare him every step of the way leading up to the big moment. A little bit earlier, I texted him a photo of where I was and where I needed him to stop to propose so I could get it all in the frame. It’s so important that my couples are reassured they are supported and prepared when planning moments like these.

Bliss was elated Griffin proposed at that moment and was especially surprised to see me. We took the opportunity to capture intimate photos of the couples being that it was just the 3 of us. Shortly after, Bliss’s parents made a surprise arrival to congratulate them.
